Suspilne, the public broadcaster of Ukraine, asked the citizens of the country to choose the members of the jury for Eurovision 2024 themselves.
As happened with Vidbir, the country’s national final, through which the representative for the 68th Eurovision contest to be held in Malmö, Sweden next May was chosen, so now, through the Diya application, the selection of members will be made of the Ukrainian national jury for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. The voting window will remain open until April 1.
The list of candidates for the jury
Suspilne has selected ten candidates, of which five will be selected to participate in the Ukrainian national jury.
These are:
- FIЇNKA – singer, actress, songwriter, finalist of Vidbir 2023
- Oleksiy Bondarenko – music columnist, founder and editor-in-chief of “Lirum”
- Oleksandr Varenytsia– PR specialist, co-founder of Go West, an agency for the promotion of Ukrainian music on the international market
- Iryna Horova – producer, founder and CEO of the record label POMITNI
- Olena Kolyadenko – head of the Freedom Ballet dance team, producer of Freedom Jazz and KADNAY
- Max Nagornyak – blogger, music critic and founder of Bezodnya Music
- Anna Sviridova – professional musician, radio and TV presenter
- Kostyantyn Tomilchenko – creative producer of the television shows “Ukrayina maye talant”, “X-Factor” and “Maska”
- Alyosha – singer, composer and songwriter, represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2010
- Yevhen Triplov – songwriter and music producer of songs for many Ukrainian artists, including Tina Karol, MONATIK, ZLATA OGNEVICH, Wellboy and Anna Trincher
The Ukrainian jury for Eurovision 2024 will consist of the five candidates with the most votes. The head of the jury will be the one who receives the most votes. In case of someone’s inability to perform their duties, the next most voted candidate will take their place. On May 11, the day of the grand final, the jury members will be announced.
We remind you that for this year, the voting system remains the same with the voting of the national juries making up almost 50% of the final result.
Ukraine will be represented at Eurovision 2024 by Jerry Heil & alyona alyona with the song “Teresa & Maria”. He has been drawn in the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024 (May 7), and will even appear in the first half (places 1-7).
