JUNIOR EUROVISION 2023: The entries (Part 4)!

Presentation of Junior Eurovision entries

Almost one week remain until Junior Eurovision 2023 and Ogae Greece continues the presentation of the entries with the fourth and final part .

🇳🇱 Netherlands

The Netherlands is the only country that has continuously participated in the competition since 2003 where it started. She has one win in her history, the one in 2009 with Ralf Mackenbach and ” Click Clack “. The country with one of the strongest fan clubs for the children’s competition, this year, after holding the now “traditional” Junior Songfestival, chose the duet of Sep & Jasmin with ” Holding On To You “, in order to to represent the country next Sunday in Nice, France.

Jasmijn has a deep love for singing and previously participated in the Dutch TV show Ministars in 2023 where she reached the final. Her other passion is dancing and you can find her at dance school several days a week.

In his free time, Sep enjoys taking music lessons, going on vacation and meeting up with friends. His favorite school subject is math and he likes to play the piano.

The song is written by Robert Dorn and the Netherlands this year is one of the favorites to win.

🇺🇦 Ukraine

Ukraine also has one victory recorded in its history, that of 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and ” Nebo “, while it has continuously participated in the competition since 2006 where it made its debut.

This year the selection was made through a national final and the ticket for Junior Eurovision 2023 was won by Anastasia Dymyd with the song ” Kvitka ” (Flower), written by Svitlana Tarabarov a.

Anastasia Dymyd is from the village of Hoshiv, Ivano-Frankivsk Region, Ukraine. Although a fourth-grader, she has already participated in and won many children’s vocal competitions, including first place for a “Modern Folk Performance” at the 2023 Black Sea Games.

When she is not singing, she enjoys painting, dancing, spending time with her family and playing outside with friends. Despite the fact that she loves nature and dreams of climbing Hoverla Mountain, Anastasia is afraid of almost all animals – starting with butterflies! In fact, the only animals he is not afraid of are aquarium fish.

🇵🇱 Poland

Poland counts ten participations in the competition and was one of the countries that participated in the first edition of the competition. It is the only country that has managed to do the double. Event that happened in 2018 & 2019.

This year the representative of the country is Maja Krzyżewska and her song is the ballad ” I Just Need A Friend “. The lyrics were written by Patryk Kumor , Carla Fernandes and Marissa , while the music was composed by Carla Fernandes , Dominic Buczkowski-Wojtaszek , Patryk Kumor & Piotr Zborowski .

Maja Krzyżewska refers to herself as “Maja from the end of the world”, as she comes from Szeszupka , a small village in Poland with fewer inhabitants than the Junior Eurovision 2023 participants! This year, the young singer took part in The Voice Kids (Poland) and was selected for Cleo ‘s team, which represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with My Słowianie .

After this experience, Maja competed in the Polish Junior Eurovision selection show, Szansa na Sukces , which she won.

🇵🇹 Portugal

The presentation of Junior Eurovision 2023 entries closes with Portugal .

The country was to be represented by Júlia Machado and ” Where I Belong “.

The young singer was born and raised in New Jersey, United States, in a family of Portuguese immigrants. At the age of 12, she crossed the Atlantic Ocean to move with her grandparents to the small village of Monsanto do Ribatejo to pursue her dream of appeared on the Portuguese version of The Voice Kids .

This dream came true and she won the talent show in 2023 via televoting and after her victory she was confirmed as Portugal’s representative for the Junior Eurovision in Nice .

The lyrics belong to Aurora Pinto , Fernando Daniel & João Direitinho while the music is written by the lyricists and Luís “Twins” Pereira .

Junior Eurovision 2023 will take place on Sunday, November 26 in Nice, France at the Palais Nikaia arena with 16 countries fight for victory.

This Monday, November 20, the Opening Ceremony will take place.
