The first statements of the ten finalists of the A' Semifinal!

Joy, emotion and excitement were the emotions that prevailed at the press conference of the first ten finalists who qualified for Saturday’s Grand Final!

In the order announced, the countries that qualified for the Eurovision 2024 final are:

Before heading to the press room, the first ten finalists found themselves in the specially designed area where they chose by lottery in which half of the Final they will appear!

It is a great honor for me to represent Cyprus at a very young age!
I admit I’m a little sad that Australia didn’t come through, the band was amazing, but what counts is that they gave elements of the Australian culture!

It’s a huge opportunity to be here, it’s already a success that we reached the final and I promise that we will give our best in the Final and whatever it turns out to be!

I went through a lot and yet I made it. For all people that have been bullied in the past, there’s only one message: We must to keep moving forward.
So far the biggest challenge I have faced about Eurovision is the lack of sleep. But other than that the experience is absolutely amazing!

It’s been an unreal experience so far, it’s unbelievable that we’ve made it this far!
Ireland have not been in the Final for years and it’s incredible to be here and be the one to do it!
I am a pro-peace and pro-justice and the EBU forced me to delete certain elements of my appearance that called for a ceasefire in Palestine.

We are happy that we made it. We also want to talk to yoy about a charitable act that we are also running in order to build schools in Ukraine. Children are our future!
It is necessary to thank the world, from all countries for supporting Ukraine.

It wasn’t my best performance, so far! I definitely said it better in rehearsals but you didn’t see them!
I didn’t think about anything before I went on stage, I was watching Poland and I tried to push the thoughts away!
Eurovision is a huge event and it can get quite energy-sapping because I have to think about which camera to look at and when!

I really doubted that we would be in the Final. It’s a big surprise for me!
Thankfully I have studied psychoanalysis and I was able to deal with all my negative feelings up until now!
When I make music I always think about my instincts. The staging is tailored to me and I didn’t want to bring any object on stage that would distract me or my dancers!

There are a lot of rules at Eurovision, but if we had to pick one to reject.. hmm we’d prefer more nakedness.
Now before the Final we have to relax! We are so glad to be there, but we need to clear our minds! Maybe even get some sleep inside our egg…

Thank you all for being here.
I wrote my song “Grito” in my grandmother’s house, in a village in Portugal and with almost no money. The fact that I’m only here is a proof that music can achieve a lot by itself!
Regarding the stage representation of the song, I want to tell you that I don’t know how to dance. I just wanted it to look like a painting and I think we achieved that!

We were announced last, and I can tell you that I almost had a heart attack! But then I saw the camera zooming in on us and I thought maybe, it’s us! It’s crazy that I’m here!
It is a beautiful competition that unites cultures and musics, I am very honored to be the first representative of my country after 31 years.
