Just a few minutes ago, the Second Semi Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has been completed and now we know the 26 acts of the Grand Final!
Once again, live from Malmö, Sweden, both EBU and SVT have broadcasted an amazing show, hosted by Malin Akerman and Petra Mede.
Sixteen countries competed in tonight’s semi final with Malta performing first and Netherlands last. In addition to the competing entries, France, Spain and Italy (all three are taking part directly in the Final) performed their entries during the show as well.
In running order, the sixteen countries of the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 were:

As interval acts the show featured Eurovision winners Helena Paparizou, Sertab Erener and Charlotte Perrelli performing their respective winning songs – “My Number One” (Greece 2005), “Everyway That I Can” (Turkey 2003) and “Take Me to Your Heaven” (Sweden 1999) – with the audience taking part in a sing-along. Later, Mede presented a musical number entitled “We Just Love Eurovision Too Much” that satirizes various aspects of the contest. The number featured appearances by Perrelli, Sarah Dawn Finer reprising her role as Lynda Woodruff, and 2023 Finnish representative Käärijä performing an excerpt of his competing song “Cha Cha Cha”.
Results
People from the fifteen competing countries, plus from France, Spain and Italy, as well as from non-participating countries under an aggregated “Rest of the World” voted in this semi-final.
The top ten countries which managed to qualify for the Grand Final were:

This automatically means that the six countries that did not qualify were Malta, Albania, Czechia, Denmark, San Marino and Belgium.
The broadcast ended with a special performance of the Swedish band Herreys celebrating the 40th anniversary of the victory of “Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley” on behalf of Sweden.
