Eurovision 2024: The results of the press poll of the second semi-final!

A little while ago, the first dress rehearsal of the second semi-final of Eurovision 2024 was completed. On the stage of Malmö Arena, the countries of the second semi-final went on the stage in a live streaming program. This was the first rehearsal that accredited journalists had the opportunity to watch, whilst being inside the stadium.

On stage, the following countries performed:

  1. Malta
  2. Albania
  3. Greece
  4. Switzerland
  5. Czechia
  6. Austria
  7. Denmark
  8. Armenia
  9. Latvia
  10. San Marino
  11. Georgia
  12. Belgium
  13. Estonia
  14. Israel
  15. Norway
  16. The Netherlands

At the same time, France, Italy and Spain also had their first dress rehearsal, as part of this year’s EBU change, which included the performances of 3 of the 6 direct qualifiers to the final, in both semi finals.

After the rehearsal was completed, accredited journalists who had the opportunity to watch it live, voted for the three performances they believed had the best rehearsal of the afternoon. This poll is conducted under the auspices of ESCXTRA .

As expected, Switzerland topped the list of accredited journalists’ preferences in the ESCXtra press poll. Surprisingly, the Netherlands was relegated to 9th place, even though they are considered potential winners and are 2nd in the predictions for qualification. Norway moved up to second place after an excellent rehearsal, while Greece is in 3rd place, tied with Georgia – another surprise. According to the press poll, Israel, Austria, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark and Albania do not qualify.
