The news arriving today from the Bosnia-Herzegovina front is encouraging, as it seems that the return of the country to Eurovision in 2025 is being considered.
Specifically, BHRT, which is also the country’s national broadcaster, announced its programming for the 2024-2025 television season, implying that there is interest in Eurovision!
The paragraph from the TV program presentation form highlighted in yellow reads:
We also believe that it is time to consider the possibility of Bosnian representatives returning to the Eurovision contest in 2025.

The above while the EBU sanctions against BHRT due to its debts remain in force.
In recent years the BHRT has come under severe financial pressure and has been on the brink of bankruptcy, with a funding shortfall estimated at a staggering €32m at the end of 2021. Since then there have been discussions in the Bosnian government aimed at a financial reform regarding the funding of public broadcasters.
The EBU first sanctioned BHRT in December 2016 but did not rule out negotiating a viable solution for both sides.
We remind you that the broadcaster of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not the first to have received such sanctions from the EBU, as the Romanian TVR was previously excluded from Eurovision events in 2016 due to unpaid debts to the organization.
