A total of seven artists participated in the first semi-final, who performed their songs to compete for one of the three tickets to the Grand Final of the Melodi Grand Prix 2022 on 4 February. The evening started at 20:50 at Screen Studios in Nydalen, Oslo and the hosts of the evening were Stian “Staysman” Thorbjørnsen and Arianrhod “Arian” Engebø.
