Bedre føre var enn etter snar (=A stitch in time saves nine)” say the wise folk, and it seems that in the frozen north of Norway, the MGP leaders embrace this adage to the letter.

Stig Karlsen , head of the Norwegian delegation to the Eurovision contest, but also responsible for the Melodi Grand Prix, the country’s national final for the selection of the representative in the Eurovision contest, is organizing from this month the first MGP camps , which are attended by artists of music and create in groups, songs intended for next year’s Eurovision.

Today, the first of these music camps started, with the aim of – what else – finding the right song to represent the country at Eurovision.

It is worth mentioning that many of the songs that qualify for the final phase of the MGP are the product of this initiative with the most typical examples being ” Queen of Kings ” and ” Give That Wolf A Banana “, which are the two most recent entries from the Scandinavian country in the Eurovision contest.
