During ERT’s show “Πρωίαν σε είδον“, the journalist Valeria Dolapsaki revealed that the final shortlist for the Greek representation will include a total of seven songs! We remind you that last year, five songs were selected and evaluated in the final phase. As mentioned in the show, the draw of the 70 members of the “public committee” has been completed and they will listen to the seven candidate songs on December 28 at ERT’s Radio Hall.
The “public committee” will not know which artists are behind the seven songs they will listen to. The members of the committee will listen to the candidate songs by using headphones and in small groups. The process is designed to avoid any leakage of the songs. The seven nominated songs will be announced after the public committee has evaluated them. Once the process is completed, the seven artists will have private meetings with ERT’s committee.
The announcement of Greece’s representative for Eurovision 2023 is expected to take place at the beginning of the new year.
