The Finns and YLE knew since last January that they had a dynamite on their hands. They worked incredibly hard and wanted the win desperately, but finally Loreen stood in the way. Nevertheless, the one and only Käärijä made history in Eurovision!
“Cha cha cha” finished second, with 526 points in the final, compared to 583 for winner Loreen. Never before has a Finnish song scored so high in the Contest – and only Lordi have managed to do better, taking the win in 2006.

Käärijä KING OF TELEVOTING
Finland made history in many ways regarding to the tevevote score yesterday. First, Käärijä was the winner of the televote ( 376 points), with a big difference from the second Loreen (243 points). It is impressive that the winner, Sweden, did not get a single 12 points from the televoting ,unlike Finland who swept by collecting 18 12 points!!! The 376 points puts “Cha cha cha” in 2nd place of all time in televoting scores, along with Salvador Sobral’s “Amar pelos dois”. You can see the Top 10 of all time in televoting in the table below:

Käärijä WAS SAD… BUT NOT FOR LONG
Käärijä left rather upset and tearful for the backstage last night after the final result. But it didn’t take long, with the support of his team but also of many of the 26 artists who participated in the Final, to regain his optimism and look ahead.
