Representing Greece in Eurovision 2023, Victor Vernicos was a guest on ERT 1’s talk show “I saw you in the morning”! The 16-year-old artist talked about everything to Fotis Sergoulopoulos and Jenny Melita, while he didn’t miss the opportunity to pick up his guitar and sing his favorite songs LIVE.

The young artist is confident and ready to give it all for the best possible outcome in the Eurovision Song Contest. When he found out that he will be the one to travel to Liverpool, he immediately shared the news with his parents first. But he also rushed to share the news with as many people as possible, not being able to hide his joy.

About his song, he says it is the most suitable for the competition out of everything he has ever written, and he believes his message will get through to the people watching.

He is a Eurovision fan, with his favourite entries being those of Duncan Laurence (Arcade 2019) and Alexander Rybak (Fairytale 2009).

The youngest representative Greece has ever sent to Eurovision is producing his songs himself, and it’s a process Victor enjoys very much.

He is looking forward to being on stage in Liverpool and for this special moment he is preparing as much as possible with the team that will accompany him. His only concern is that immediately after the second semi-final in which Greece is participating this year, he will only have one day of rehearsals until the Grand Final on Saturday.

Victor Vernicos couldn’t spoil the mood of the presenters, Fotis Sergoulopoulos and Jenny Melita, and gave us a live performance of Beggin’, playing the song himself on his favourite guitar.

With this broadcast, the youngest representative of Greece, starts his promo in Greece and abroad. As we reported in ogaegreece.com, the talented Victor was in the studio for the final touches on his song “What they say”. Also, the official video clip of the song will be shot soon. We will first hear “What they say” when the video clip will air for the first time. Meanwhile, the ERT Eurovision team, with Ms. Monica Papadatou as Head of the Greek Delegation, and the Panik Records team, whose roster includes Victor Vernicos, are working intensively to prepare the Greek participation in order to submit the complete file to the EBU by March 12th.
