The first semi final of Eesti Laul 2023 took place tonight in Viimsi Artium and was hosted by Grete Kuld and Tõnis Niinemets. A total of 10 songs competed for five spots in the Final. The running order of the 10 participants was determined by ΕRR:
- JANEK – “House of Glass”
- Ellip – “Pretty Girl”
- Kaw – “Valik” (Choice)
- MERLYN – “Unicorn Vibes”
- MIA – “Üks samm korraga” (One step at a time)
- Neon Letters & Maiko – “Tokimeki” (Palpitation)
- OLLIE – “Venom”
- Andreas – “Why Do You Love Me”
- Bedwetters – “Monsters”
- Anett x Fredi – “You Need to Move On”
After all the competitors have presented their entries, we had a break. Then, Janika who competed in Kvalifikacija za Millstreet in 1993 with the song “Muretut meelt ja südametuld”, together with Minimal Wind, took the stage.
The results
The four songs that moved on to the Grand Final after public and jury vote are:
- Andreas – “Why Do You Love Me”
- OLLIE – “Venom”
- Anett x Fredi – “You Need to Move On”
- Bedwetters – “Monsters”
The last finalist was chosen only by the televoters:
- JANEK – “House of Glass”
The second semi final of Eesti Laul 2023 will be held on Saturday, 14th of January.
